THON 2026 Day Two Recap

The clock has struck midnight, folks, bringing us into the early hours of Sunday morning.

But before we move on to the final day of THON 2026, let’s take a look at all the action that went down during day two.

My Hero Zero Delivers Y2K Concert

THON 2026’s first theme hour was none other than Y2K, and with it came a performance from the band My Hero Zero, who played over 20 hits from the early 2000’s to crank up the energy early Saturday morning.

Hair Donation

More than 30 donors took the stage on Saturday morning to chop off inches of hair in front of the entire BJC crowd.

Dancers Show Off Abilities In Dancer Pageant

Eleven dancers from various organizations took part in the annual Dancer Pageant. Ryak Kovatch of Phi Epsilon Kappa took first place by singing and playing his guitar. He received a $500 donation to his organization for his efforts. Cameron Powell and Lindsey Davidson, who also sang, came in second, with Gina Bush and her kazoo finishing in third.

Donny Burns & The Third Degree Rock Out On THON Stage

Known within the downtown State College bar scene, Donny Burns & The Third Degree brought their electricity into the BJC, and the crowd enjoyed every minute of it. The band played songs like “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, and “Life Is A Highway” by Rascal Flats.

THON Kids Participate In 2026 Talent Show

More than 20 THON kids put their talents on display Saturday night during the 2026 Talent Show, including singing, dancing, drawing, and instrument playing. Music therapists from Penn State Health Music also performed alongside Four Diamonds families to honor everyone supporting THON this weekend.

Penn State Men’s Soccer Takes Home Pep Rally

Nine Penn State athletic teams went head-to-head in a dance competition at THON 2026’s pep rally, with the men’s soccer team emerging victorious. Emceed by Juwan and Chanen Johnson, this year’s pep rally brought several iconic cameos, ranging from quarterback Drew Allar to social media influencer Katie Feeney, and even Olympic gold medalist Tessa Janecke. Penn State football legend Trace McSorley and head coach Matt Campbell even joined Johnson on stage to share words of inspiration to dancers.
