Happy Valley Comic & Collectibles Convention Set For February 28 & March 1

The Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention (HVC3) is set to return to State College on February 28 and March 1 at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre. The event will take place on Saturday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Since its founding in 2022, The Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention has quickly gained popularity in the area, with approximately 6,100 attendees in 2024 according to the website.

This event is perfect for anyone who likes comics, trading cards, anime, action figures, cosplay, and more. There, you will find a variety of vendors, events, and even guest celebrities and artists.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to participate in various trading card tournaments, watch costume contests, get a tattoo of their favorite character, and even learn how to use a lightsaber. There is even a gaming area on site where attendees can pick a game and play for fun.

Celebrities, artists, and cosplayers alike will attend the event, and some will feature meet-and-greets and photo ops. Some notable attendees will be actress Tricia Helfer, voice actor Oliver Wyman, comic artist Don Aguillo, and cosplayer Happy Valley Chewie.

Additionally, organizations such as the Alliance for Heroic Hearts, USS Solstice, The Penn State All-Sports Museum, and more will be in attendance.

All parking for the event around the Sports Centre will be free, with shuttles running from two different locations. There will be a free shuttle bus system from East Halls to the event centre, as well as a free shuttle system from the Fullington Bus Lot.

The shuttle from East Halls will run every 30 minutes on Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase in person and online. College students are able to purchase tickets for $8 per day with a valid ID.
