‘See Her Win’ Girls’ Sports Festival To Make Inaugural Debut Memorial Day Weekend

The inaugural “See Her Win” Girls’ Sports Festival, a new girls-only, multi-sport festival, is set to make its debut in Centre County this spring. Hosted by the Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance, this event will take place Memorial Day weekend at Penn State. HVSEA will partner with Teammates for Life, the women’s sports initiative founded by legendary Penn State field hockey coach Char Morett-Curtiss.

HVSEA describes this event as “a multi-sport celebration dedicated to creating inclusive, high-energy opportunities for girls to compete, grow, and lead both on and off the field.”

This event will include flag football, lacrosse, rugby, field hockey, and wheelchair basketball for middle school and high school athletes. Athletes will have the chance to compete in tournaments, attend clinics, participate in team-building activities, and hear keynote speakers.

The theme of the festival is “Compete. Connect. Be Inspired,” and the event’s initiative is to support and elevate young girls in sports. According to “See Her Win”, this event “highlights teamwork, leadership, and empowerment while championing girls who own their sport and their future.”

Unrivaled Sports, Tenacity Project, Rise Above, LaxFaxx, and The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau are the sponsors for this event.
