Penn State Men’s Hockey Drops To No. 6 In USCHO Poll

Penn State men’s hockey fell one spot to No. 6 in the latest rankings, according to USCHO on Monday afternoon. 

The Nittany Lions are coming off a winless weekend against Notre Dame, where the team only took three out of six possible points. Penn State pushed Friday’s game to a shootout, but lost the series finale in overtime on Saturday.

Penn State erased a three-goal first-period deficit to tie Notre Dame on Friday, eventually earning the extra shootout point after Gavin McKenna scored the lone goal.

Penn State has already secured home ice in the Big Ten Quarterfinals.

The Nittany Lions are set host No. 11 Wisconsin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Pegula Ice Arena.
