Report: Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Jahan Dotson To Sign With Atlanta Falcons

Former Penn State football wide receiver Jahan Dotson has agreed to terms with the Atlanta Falcons on the first day of free agency, per Jordan Schultz. It’s a two-year, $15 million deal. He cannot officially sign the contract until the first day of the new league year on Wednesday.

Dotson is entering his fifth NFL season and set to sign with his third team. The former Penn State wideout was selected No. 16 overall by the Washington Commanders in the 2022 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons before being traded to the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the 2024 season. Dotson failed to break into the Eagles’ rotation on a permanent basis and match the numbers he had in Washington, but won Super Bowl LIX along with Saquon Barkley.

Over his first four professional seasons, Dotson totaled 121 receptions, 1,519 yards, and 12 touchdowns. His lackluster stint in Philadelphia led to him testing the waters in free agency for the first time in his career, where he heads to Atlanta. He seems excited.

Dotson remains one of Penn State’s best receivers in recent memory. He appeared in 42 games and accumulated 183 receptions, 2,757 yards, and 25 touchdowns. He ended his time in Happy Valley as the No. 2 all-time leader in receptions and touchdowns, as well as No. 4 in receiving yards.
