Penn State Men’s Hockey Remains At No. 10 In USCHO Poll

Following a dominant win over Minnesota and a loss to Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament, Penn State men’s hockey stayed put at No. 10 in the latest USCHO poll, released on Monday.
Elsewhere in the poll, the top-3 remains the same, with Michigan, North Dakota, and Michigan State representing the current best in college hockey. Denver rose two places to No. 4 following an NCHC semifinal win over now-No. 5 Western Michigan.
Minnesota Duluth also jumped two spots to No. 6, with Providence falling the same number of places, now sitting at No. 7. Cornell and Dartmouth slot in at No. 8 and No. 9, just ahead of the Nittany Lions.
After going on a run in the Big Ten Tournament, Ohio State has entered the rankings. The Buckeyes now sit at No. 19, following impressive victories over Wisconsin and Michigan State. They will take on the Wolverines in the title game with conference supremacy and NCAA Tournament aspirations on the line.
Penn State will await its fate in the NCAA Tournament, with the selection show slated for 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22. Guy Gadowsky’s squad locked up a bid after its quarterfinal victory and is four wins away from claiming the National Championship.
