Former Penn State Women’s Volleyball Player Maggie Mendelson Signs With Major League Volleyball’s Atlanta Vibe

Former Penn State women’s volleyball Player Maggie Mendelson has signed with the Atlanta Vibe of Major League Volleyball, the team announced on Tuesday evening.
Major League Volleyball is a professional women’s volleyball league based in the United States. There are 10 teams, including the Atlanta Vibe, where the 6’5″ middle blocker is headed.
Mendelson, a North Ogden, Utah, native, began her collegiate career at Nebraska, spending two years with the Cornhuskers before transferring to Happy Valley in 2024.
In her two years with Penn State, Mendelson logged 479 kills, 237 blocks, and 72 digs across 68 matches. Along with her two All-Big Ten Academic Honors, Mendelson won a national championship with the Nittany Lions in 2024.
Mendelson was a dual-sport athlete at Penn State, spending the 2025-26 season with the Lady Lions, averaging 2.0 points and 3.3 rebounds over 15 games. Mendelson will forgo one remaining year of basketball eligibility to join the Atlanta Vibe.
