Penn State Increases Enforcement Of Electric Scooter Ban

Penn State police have asked students to leave electric scooters at home after spring break, warning that there would be increased enforcement of the PS03 policy that prohibits motor-driven devices.

The Penn State University Police and Public Safety said that penalties will range from a referral to the BEEP program to a motor vehicle fine in excess of $225, per the department’s Facebook post.

University officials are pushing for students to take advantage of other on-campus transportation options and mentioned that the increased enforcement is intended to improve safety around campus.
