From River City To Happy Valley: ‘The Music Man’ Set To Perform At Eisenhower Auditorium April 7

Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” is making its way to Happy Valley. Big League Productions’ national tour will stop at Penn State’s Eisenhower Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7.

The play follows River City, Iowa, and its trouble when fast-talking salesman Harold Hill makes his way into town. While conning the townspeople into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band, he falls in love with the local librarian. The musical has has six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

To purchase tickets, folks can call the Arts Ticket Center at 814-863-0255 or visit “The Music Man” online for information about accessibility options. American Sign Language interpretation will be offered for the performance. To discuss ASL seating accommodations, contact the Arts Ticket Center via email or phone at 814-863-2727, ext.3, by Tuesday, March 24.
