No. 20 Penn State Women’s Gymnastics Headed To Tempe Regionals

No. 20 Penn State women’s gymnastics has earned an NCAA berth and will compete in the Arizona State Regional of the NCAA women’s gymnastics championships.
Penn State will be a part of the night session of the Tempe Regionals, facing No. 3 Florida, No. 14 California, and the winner of a play-in between Arizona and Arizona State. Action will start at 10 p.m. on April 2 and will be aired on ESPN+.
This is Penn State’s fourth consecutive season qualifying for regionals, and the 49th time in program history. The team sits at a 196.470 National Qualifying Score heading into the tournament. Last year, the Nittany Lions finished in the regional semifinals with a score of 196.225.
The team finished the regular season 7-7 in dual meets and is coming off a seventh-place finish at the Big Ten Championships with a score of 196.000.
Competition begins at the four regional sites, and the top four teams will move on to the second day of competition. The top two teams on the third day of competition will advance to the NCAA Championship in Fort Worth, Texas, with the semifinals starting on Thursday, April 16, and the finals on Saturday, April 18th.
