Report: Penn State Football Quarterback Alex Manske To Miss Spring Practice

Penn State football quarterback Alex Manske will miss spring practice after an offseason procedure, per Blue White Illustrated’s Sean Fitz.
Manske transferred to Penn State on January 4. He played in three games for the Cyclones in 2025 to preserve his redshirt. He completed four passes for 28 yards with 33 more on the ground. The quarterback scored a rushing touchdown against South Dakota in Iowa State’s home opener.
Manske is in the mix for Penn State’s QB2 job behind Rocco Becht, who’s slowly coming back from some injuries of his own. The only other non-true-freshman quarterback on the roster is Christopher Newport transfer Connor Barry.
His injury will also give more reps for freshmen Kase Evans and Peyton Falzone. Evans was a three-star recruit in the class of 2026 and Falzone a four-star, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
Manske was rated as a four-star recruit out of Algona High School in Algona, Iowa, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He was ranked as the No. 25 quarterback in the Class of 2025 and No. 2 player in the state.
