Penn State Football Opts For Blue-White Practice Instead Of Game

The Matt Campbell era of Penn State football has brought yet another change.
The Nittany Lions will have an open practice at West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.
Under former head coach James Franklin, Penn State football typically hosted an intrasquad exhibition as part of its annual spring ball, but that approach has been altered to an open-practice format under Campbell.
Admission to the Blue-White practice is free, with gates A, B, C, and E opening to the public at 11 a.m. Fans will be permitted to sit in the north, south, and east lower bowl areas of the stadium. The west side seating section will be closed, along with the north and south upper bowls.
Several events and attractions are slated before, during, and after the Blue-White practice, starting on Thursday, April 23, with the Night at the Museum at the Penn State All-Sports Museum. Admission will be free for all visitors, along with extended hours until 8 p.m.
On Friday, April 24, the Kids Combine will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Holuba Hall. Eighth graders and below are invited to participate in various drill stations hosted by Penn State football staff and student-athletes.
Along with the Blue-White practice, Saturday, April 25, features the Beaver Stadium block party, a football autograph session, and an apparel and equipment sale. Parking lots will open at 8 a.m.
Penn State’s bag policy will be in effect for the Blue-White practice, allowing only clear tote bags sized 12″ by 6″ by 12″ or smaller for entry. Check out the full weekend details here.
