Penn State Women’s Hockey’s Tessa Janecke And Danica Maynard Awarded All-USCHO Honors

After a historic season in Hockey Valley, both Tessa Janecke and Danica Maynard have been named to All-USCHO teams, the organization announced Friday.
After an illustrious collegiate career at Penn State, Janecke is now the first-ever Nittany Lion to be named to the All-USCHO First Team. It’s her third time snagging All-USCHO honors. She was named to the Second Team her previous two years with the team.
The senior left a mark in her final season in Happy Valley. Janecke finished the season as a top-three Patty Kazmaier Memorial Finalist and is Penn State’s leading hockey scorer between both the men’s and women’s programs.
Maynard was named to both the All-USCHO Third Team and the All-USCHO Rookie Team. Maynard put up a stellar freshman campaign, finishing as the sixth-highest scoring freshman in the nation. She also tied Kendall Butze’s program record with 33 points in a season by a defenseman. Maynard was also named the AHA Conference’s Rookie of the Year.
