What To Do In State College Over Easter Weekend

If you’re stuck in Happy Valley this Easter weekend, you’re in luck, folks. State College has plenty going on between egg hunts, family activities, arts events, and a few classic local staples. Whether you’re looking to get outside, keep yourself entertained, or just fill a quiet weekend on campus, here’s your guide to what’s happening around town.

Another family-friendly option with plenty of eggs, bounce houses, and games. Great for people of all ages.

Easter Egg Hunt At The Nittany Lion Inn

Saturday, April 5, from 12 to 2 p.m. in their courtyard

A big, family-friendly egg hunt right on campus. Kids 12 and under can search for candy-filled eggs in small groups, with new hunt rotations every 15 minutes. The Easter Bunny will be on-site for Instagram-worthy photos, and the event moves indoors if the weather turns. Check in at the courtyard fireplace when you arrive.

Discovery Day At Schlow Library

Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m.

Drop in for crafts, activities, and a quiet start to the weekend. No registration is needed, and the event is free.

“Puss An Dawg Nuh Ave Di Same Luck” – Art Alley Exhibit

Altoona Curve vs. Harrisburg Senators

Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m. People’s Natural Gas Field (Altoona)

If you’re up for a short drive, early‑season baseball is back. A great excuse to enjoy warmer weather and ballpark food. Plus, if you’ve never been to Altoona, this is the perfect excuse.

Penn State Softball vs. Maryland Double Header

Saturday, April 5, at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Beard Field

If Altoona is just a touch too far, look no further than Penn State softball to get your ballpark fix. A doubleheader matchup against Maryland comes with a bonus: a postgame Easter Egg Hunt for kids. If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to wrap up the weekend, or just want to support Penn State athletics, this is an easy pick.

Whether you’re chasing eggs, catching a show, watching Penn State softball, or just enjoying a quiet long weekend in State College, there’s plenty to do without leaving town. So grab some friends and enjoy Easter weekend in Happy Valley.
