Penn State Women’s Lacrosse Falls To No. 21 In Recent Inside Lacrosse Poll

Penn State women’s lacrosse moved down one spot in the recent Inside Lacrosse Poll.

The Nittany Lions traveled to Columbus last Sunday to take on then-No. 25 Ohio State. They defeated the Buckeyes 18-9 in a great defensive game.

Kelly MacKinney scored seven goals in the game, leading the offense to an 18-goal win, which hadn’t been done since USC on March 12.

Sydney Manning also made a huge contribution to the team. She had 12 saves in a comeback game after being subbed out in the second half against Maryland. Despite winning, Penn State won 7-29 draw controls, which could have affected its drop in rankings.

Penn State plays next against Oregon at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at Panzer Stadium.
