Four-Star Winger Jaxon Cover Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

Four-Star forward Jaxon Cover has committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced on Instagram on Friday afternoon.

Cover, an 18-year-old from George Town, Cayman Islands, stands at 6’1″ and 185 pounds. He spent the 2025-26 season with the London Knights of the OHL, recording 20 goals and 32 assists for 52 points during the regular season, ranking third on his team in goals. He added three points (two goals, one assist) in five playoff games as London was eliminated in the first round.

Prior to his full-time OHL season, Cover played at St. Andrews College, where he put up 18 goals and 33 points in 40 games before making his debut in January of 2025. He was originally selected by the Knights in the fourth round (64th overall) of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection.

Cover is eligible for the 2026 NHL Draft and has drawn plenty of attention from scouts, ranking No. 45 among North American skaters in the NHL’s Central Scouting midterm rankings.
