Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Falls To No. 16 In Latest Inside Lacrosse Poll

Penn State men’s lacrosse moved down five places to No. 16 in the recent Inside Lacrosse Poll.

The Nittany Lions returned home after a one-goal loss to then-No. 16 Johns Hopkins to play Michigan, which is an unranked team, last Saturday.

In the first half, it was a slow start for Penn State, which only scored two goals to Michigan’s five. Its transition offense wasn’t strong, and the team struggled on clears.

The second half looked better for the Nittany Lions, but a few last-minute goals for Michigan gave it a win, and Penn State blew a two-goal lead late in the fourth.

The Nittany Lions lost another game they were favored to win, and this time against an unranked team, causing them to drop in rankings.

Penn State travels to New Jersey to play No. 19 Rutgers at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 17, at SHI Stadium.
