Report: Penn State Men’s Hockey Forward Nic Chin-DeGraves Transfering To Arizona State

Penn State men’s hockey forward Nic Chin-DeGraves is transferring to Arizona State Sun Devils men’s hockey, per Own Murray on Monday.

Chin-DeGraves appeared in 37 games during the 2025-26 season, recording nine points through three goals and six assists, while posting a minus-12 rating.

As a freshman, Chin-DeGraves played in 33 games, tallying nine points with four goals and five assists as Penn State made its run to the Frozen Four.

Before arriving at Penn State, Chin-DeGraves spent time in multiple junior leagues, including the AJHL, BCHL, and USHL. He notably played for the Brook Bandits, where he was part of a national championship team and later became the team’s captain, racking up 127 points across his junior career.

Chin DeGraves becomes the third Nittany Lion to officially enter the transfer portal, following JJ Wiebusch’s and Cade Chirtsenson’s decisions to part ways with Penn State.
