Report: Penn State Football Defensive End Mason Robinson Suffers ‘Season-Ending’ Injury In Spring Practice

Penn State football defensive end Mason Robinson suffered a “season-ending” injury near the start of spring practice, per Lions247’s Mark Brennan. The nature of the injury remains unknown.
Robinson’s injury will sideline him for another full year after battling the injury bad for the last two seasons. The only game where he wasn’t listed as “out” on the pregame availability report was against Villanova in 2025, where he still didn’t see any game time. He redshirted in 2023.
The 6’3″, 257-pound edge rusher was due for an increased role in the rotation in 2026. Dani Dennis-Sutton said at Penn State’s Pro Day in March that Robinson was a defensive end to watch going forward. He’ll now have to wait even longer to get his first college football reps.
