Former Lady Lions Guard Moriah Murray Transfers To Florida

Former Penn State women’s basketball guard Moriah Murray has signed with Florida, the team announced Monday.

The Dunmore, Pennsylvania, native announced her decision to enter the transfer portal on April 1, following in the footsteps of several other Lady Lions to depart from the program.

Murray originally joined Drexel’s squad in 2022, but did not make an appearance before transferring to Penn State. After two seasons as a Lady Lion, she entered the portal in 2025 but withdrew to rejoin the team for a third season.

After three seasons at Penn State, the 5’8″ guard averaged a career 7.7 points and knocked down 188 3-pointers. She scored a career-high 25 points with eight triples in January against Ohio State. She played 91 games with the Lady Lions, starting in 56 and shooting 38% from beyond the arc.

The Florida Gators are coming off a second-round exit to Oklahoma in the SEC Tournament, finishing with a record of 18-15. Sharpshooter Murray will look to continue her success from beyond the arc under head coach Tammi Reiss.
