Four Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Players Earn All-Big Ten Honors

Four Penn State men’s lacrosse players were named to All-Big Ten teams, the conference announced Wednesday. Alex Ross, Jon King, Preston Hawkins, and Jack Iannantuono all earned a spot. Iannantuno was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year as Penn State became the second school ever to win the award in back-to-back years. Hunter Aquino won the award in 2025.

Iannantuno scored and assisted 16 goals for 32 points on the year. He was unanimous selection for the All-Big Ten Freshman Team.

Ross was named to the First-Team All-Big Ten for the third time in four seasons with the Nittany Lions. The senior defender continues to be key to Penn State’s defense. He caused 20 turnovers, compiled 27 groundballs, and has two points on a goal and an assist.

King was named to the Second-Team All-Big Ten after causing 15 turnovers and racking up five points on the season, scoring four goals and an assist. As for Hawkins, he joined Iannantuno on the All-Big Ten Freshman Team. The goalkeeper has the second-best goals allowed average at 8.03 and boasts the third-best saves per game number and save percentage.

Due to the Nittany Lions earning the second seed in the Big Ten Tournament, they will have a first-round bye as they await the winner between Maryland and Rutgers in the semifinals. They will play their semifinal match at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, at SHI Stadium. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
