Penn State Suspends Delta Chi Fraternity Following Hazing Allegations

Penn State has suspended the Delta Chi fraternity for a minimum of four years after a university investigation into hazing allegations. The suspension went into effect on April 14.
Penn State’s Office of Student Accountability and Conflict Response launched an investigation following reports of alleged hazing — including physical and mental abuse, sleep deprivation, and excessive alcohol consumption. The chapter was originally placed on interim suspension in January.
The investigation found that the fraternity violated Penn State’s Student Code of Conduct and Anti-Hazing policy.
If Delta Chi wishes to return after the indefinite suspension, it will be subject to two years of conduct probation.
Delta Chi has lost all privileges of a recognized student organization because of the suspension, including access to university resources, facilities, and participation in university-sanctioned events, including THON.
