Penn State Women’s Lacrosse Rises To No. 18 In Latest Inside Lacrosse Poll

Penn State women’s lacrosse moved up one place in the recent Inside Lacrosse Poll.
The Nittany Lions played in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament last Wednesday and took on No. 7 Michigan. The team suffered a heartbreaking one-goal loss to the Wolverines in a hard-fought battle.
Penn State was on par with the team throughout the game, having only two fewer shots on goal. Roquette Allen had an impressive performance, leading the team with four goals. Despite the loss, the Nittany Lions kept up with a strong opponent, earning a higher ranking.
As the team lost in the Big Ten Tournament, they are not going to get an automatic bid in the 29-team NCAA Tournament. But since the team has a high RPI, they will likely be selected to compete in the first round.
If selected, Penn State will play on Friday, May 8. The opponent, time, and site are TBA on Sunday, May 3.
