Penn State Men’s Hockey Earns Commitment From Goalie Crew Petty

Goalie Crew Petty has committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced on his Instagram on Wednesday.

Born in 2007, Petty comes out of Gilmour Academy, where he played in the United States High School Prep League (USHS-Prep).

He posted a 2.19 goals-against average in 33 games during the 2025-26 season, along with a .919 save percentage, five shutouts, and a 24-9-0 record.

Petty also appeared in four MPHL games for Gilmour, recording a 0.79 goals-against average, .954 save percentage, two shutouts, and a perfect 4-0-0 record.

Petty stands at 6’4″, 205 lbs, and will likely become the third-string goalie behind Josh Fleming and Ryder Ferretolf.
