Four Penn State softball players earned Big Ten honors, the conference announced Friday. Breanna Hanik, Allison Oneacre, and Brooke Klosowicz were all named to All-Big Ten teams, while McKenna Young was the program’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award nominee.
Freshman infielder Oneacre unanimously earned a First Team All-Big Ten team selection and a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman team during her record-setting rookie season. Oneacre set the Penn State softball program record for RBIs with 61 and now holds Penn State’s freshman record for home runs with 18.
She finished the 2026 season tied for the team lead in batting average with a .367 mark. She led the squad in slugging and on-base percentage. With her Big Ten honors, she became the first Penn State student-athlete in program history to be a unanimous selection to both the All-Big Ten First Team and Freshman team.
Freshman outfielder Hanik earned a Second Team All-Big Ten selection and was also named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team. Hanik tied with Oneacre in batting average with a .367 mark. She had 54 hits, 12 home runs, 10 doubles, and 41 RBIs. She finished fourth in the conference with 17 stolen bases on 19 attempts, and had a .990 fielding percentage in the outfield.
Junior infielder Klosowicz earned a Second-Team All-Big Ten team honor for the second year in a row. Klosowicz led the Nittany Lions in both hits and at-bats, and finished second on the team in home runs with 15. This is the second consecutive year that Klosowicz was able to hit double digits in home runs and doubles.
Junior pitcher Young was selected as Penn State’s Big Ten Sportsmanship nominee, which is given to players who stand out because of their sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
