Four-Star Winger Marco Mignosa Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Marco Mignosa has committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced on Friday.

Mignosa, a 21-year-old from Vaughan, Ontario, stands 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds. He spent the last five seasons with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL, developing into one of the league’s top forwards. He also served as an alternate captain for the final two years of his junior career.

The right-shooting left winger put together a career season in 2025-26, recording 35 goals and 54 assists for 89 points in 65 regular-season games, ranking sixth in the OHL in points and eighth in assists.

Mignosa continued his dominant season into the playoffs, leading the Greyhounds in points, goals, and assists with 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists in 10 postseason games. He recorded five multi-point games during Soo’s playoff run, which was cut short in the second round, including a pair of four-point outings against London and Kitchener.

The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Mignosa in the seventh round (No. 215 overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft, and he recently signed an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) with the Syracuse Crunch after his final junior season, though he has not signed an entry-level contract.

Throughout his five-year OHL career, Mignosa appeared in 303 regular-season games, recording 116 goals and 173 assists for 289 points. Mignosa has outscored every player from his 2021 OHL draft class.

Mignosa becomes the second Soo Greyhound player to commit to Penn State, joining Quinn McKenzie, who committed back in 2024.
