Penn State Hoops’ 2026-27 Big Ten Opponents Released

Whether it’s a good thing or not, Penn State men’s basketball will return in the blink of an eye, folks.

The Nittany Lions are set to face 17 Big Ten foes in Mike Rhoades’ fourth year at the helm, the conference announced Tuesday.

Penn State will play home and away against Nebraska, Ohio State, and Rutgers. In 2025-26, the Nittany Lions lost their sole matchup to Nebraska, lost two games to the Buckeyes, and dropped both contests to Rutgers.

Rhoades’ squad will travel to face Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan State, UCLA, USC, and Wisconsin. Two of Penn State’s three conference wins came against Iowa and Minnesota last season.

As for the program’s Bryce Jordan Center stint, Penn State will play host to Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue, and Washington. Don’t forget the Nittany Lions almost took down the Wolverines at home in January. Hang it in the rafters.

Dates, broadcast information, and tipoff times are to be determined.
