Report: Penn State Hoops To Play in 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis

Penn State men’s basketball will participate in the 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in late November, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

The annual early-season tournament takes place during Thanksgiving week on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and frequently features some of the best teams in college basketball across the Power Five conferences. Notable winners in the past include Duke (2012), Villanova (2013, 2017, 2023), Baylor (2015, 2021), and Virginia (2018).

Five of the other seven teams have already been revealed. Memphis and Wake Forest will be on Penn State’s side of the bracket, along with one opponent to be determined. Virginia, Marquette, and Texas A&M are currently scheduled to be on the other side of the bracket.

Teams that participate play three total games, regardless of the outcome of the prior two. The first two games will be against teams in its respective pod, while the final one will be against a team in the opposite pod.

This is the first time Penn State will play in the popular tournament, which dates back to 2011. The women’s basketball team participated in the 2025 edition, going 1-1.
