Former Penn State Women’s Volleyball Players Micha Hancock & Simone Lee Named To Team USA Volleyball Nations League Roster

Penn State volleyball alumnae Micha Hancock and Simone Lee team up once again, this time on the international stage for Team USA.
The FIVB Volleyball Nations League is an international volleyball tournament featuring 18 national teams. Each team will play 12 matches in pool play over three weeks leading up to the Final Eight.
Hancock is a three-time All-American who helped lead the Nittany Lions to back-to-back NCAA National Champions in 2013 and 2014. She recorded 5,578 assists in her collegiate career. She is also a two-time Olympic medalist, earning the first-ever gold medal for the U.S. National Team in Tokyo and a silver at the Paris games in 2024. The setter has played professionally in Italy, Poland, and Puerto Rico, and currently plays for League One Volleyball’s Houston team. Hancock has won two Volleyball Nations League gold medals.
Lee is a two-time All-American who won the NCAA National Championship with Penn State as a freshman and tallied 1,274 kills in her four-year career. The outside hitter debuted for the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2018 and won gold in the 2018 Pan American Cup. Lee is no stranger to international competition, playing with teams in Italy, Turkey, and Germany throughout her career. She currently plays for the Brazilian professional team Sesc Flamengo. She represented Team USA in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League in 2019.
Hancock and Lee will compete in Team USA’s first match of the tournament against Ukraine at 11 a.m. on June 3 in Quebec City, Canada.
