12 Penn State Volleyball Alumnae Find Success In Professional Volleyball

Major League Volleyball (MLV) and League One Volleyball (LOVB) have surged in popularity, bringing together the best players from around the world to compete at the professional level.

As professional volleyball continues to grow and create new opportunities for athletes, here are twelve Nittany Lions who have joined in on the action. 

Maggie Mendelson – Atlanta Vibe (MLV)

The 6’5 middle blocker and recent graduate signed with the Vibe in March. The 2024 NCAA National Champion recorded 58 kills, 18 blocks, and six service aces across 10 matches. 

Megan Lush – Columbus Fury (MLV)

The two-time NCAA National Champion and the 2014 NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player has notched 534 kills and 89 blocks across 3 seasons with the Fury.

Magan Lush had double-digit kills in 10 games this season. 

Kashauna Williams – Columbus Fury (MLV)

Capping off her collegiate career with Penn State in 2022, Kashuana Williams played four years abroad before signing with the Fury in January. The outside hitter recorded 40 kills in 12 match appearances. 

Kaitlyn Hord – Dallas Pulse (MLV)

The four-time All-American played for the Nittany Lions from 2018 to 2021. The middle blocker appeared with the Fury in the 2024 inaugural season before joining the Pulse.

Kaitlyn Hord has 262 kills and 160 blocks across three seasons, and had four kills, five digs, and two blocks in the Pulse’s five-set victory over the Omaha Supernovas to win the 2026 MLV Championship. 

Kendall White – Dallas Pulse (MLV)

The three-time All-American and two-time Defensive Player of the Year played with the Nittany Lions from 2016 to 2019 and holds the program record for career digs with 1,994. The libero has 340 digs in two professional seasons, winning the MLV Championship alongside her teammate Kaitlyn Hord. 

Camryn Hannah – Indy Ignite (MLV)

The 2024 NCAA Champion opposite hitter played for the Vegas Thrill in the 2025 season, recording 152 kills before joining the Ignite this past season. Camryn Hannah notched 126 kills, including a 20-kill match against the Vibe in February.  

Zoe Weatherington – Orlando Valkyries (MLV)

Zoe Weatherington finished her collegiate career with two seasons as a Nittany Lion. She signed with the Valkyries in March and had 39 kills and seven blocks in her first season. 

Micha Hancock – LOVB Houston 

The two-time Nittany Lion national champion and two-time Olympic medalist posted 544 assists, 159 digs, and 10 blocks in the 2025 inaugural season. Micha Hancock had 108 assists in 2026, with a season-high 33 against Nebraska. 

Jess Mruzik – LOVB Houston

The 2024 National Champion joined Houston as part of the “LOVB 6”, the first group of players brought into the league in its inaugural season.

The outside hitter notched a season-high 16 kills in January and recorded 176 kills on the season.

Gillian Grimes – LOVB Madison 

Another player from the 2024 Championship team joined a professional volleyball team. Gillian Grimes signed with Madison in January. The libero had 122 digs on the season, including a 19-dig performance in March. 

Gabby Blossom – LOVB Nebraska 

Gabby Blossom, a setter for the Nittany Lions in 2019, had 154 assists on the season. The two-time All-American had a career-high 49 assists against Salt Lake. 

Haleigh Washington – LOVB Salt Lake 

The three-time All-American middle blocker, 2014 national champion, and two-time Olympic medalist is a founding athlete of LOVB. She is currently recovering from a torn meniscus and did not play in the 2026 season, but was named League One Volleyball’s Women of the Year in 2025.
