Three-Star Quarterback Will Wood Commits To Penn State Football

Class of 2027 three-star quarterback Will Wood has committed to Penn State football, Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett announced on Friday.

The Westwood, Massachusetts, native comes in as the No. 490 player nationally, No. 29 quarterback, and No. 3 player in the state, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

In the seven Xaverian football games Mass Live recorded in the 2025 season, Wood had 1262 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and one interception. He added 299 yards on the ground and two touchdowns on 50 attempts.

The Nittany Lions offered Wood on Apr 20, 2026, after their initial 2027 quarterback target, Peter Borque, began gaining traction with other schools. Wood has shown interest throughout the short time with an offer. The entire offensive staff, including Jake Waters, Ryan Clanton, and Kashif Moore, visited Woods’ house last week.

Wood chose Penn State over Boston College, West Virginia, and Maryland. To see what the newest Nittany Lion can bring to Happy Valley, check out his highlights here.
