Former Penn State Women’s Soccer Player Katherine Asman Named Gainbridge Super League Golden Glove Winner

Former Penn State women’s soccer player Katherine Asman was named the Gainbridge Super League Golden Glove winner, the team announced Monday.

In her time with Penn State, Asman played 100 matches and recorded 323 saves, 27 shutouts, and a 79.4 save percentage. She graduated in 2023 and was selected 39th overall by Portland Thorns FC in the NWSL Draft, but did not appear in a game.

She later signed a two-year contract with the Orlando Pride in 2024 and then joined Lexington SC in the Gainbridge Super League.

In her time with Lexington, she started and played in 28 games, recording 68 saves and a 73.9 save percentage. The team finished 14-11-3 and first in the Western Conference Standings.
