Former Penn State Football Running Back Tikey Hayes Joins Iowa Western Community College

Former Penn State football running back Tikey Hayes has transferred to Iowa Western Community College, per Lions247’s Mark Brennan. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

Hayes was a four-star recruit out of Aliquippa, PA, in the Class of 2025, ranked as the No. 32 running back and No. 14 player from Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Penn State back in September 2023.

Due to the presence of two future NFL draft picks in Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen, Hayes did not get on the field during the regular season, only appearing in the Pinstripe Bowl due to both opting out. He had three carries for 18 yards, all in the fourth quarter as Penn State ran out the game.

After initially stating his intentions to stay for the 2026 season, Hayes entered the transfer portal on January 10 after fellow running back Cam Wallace withdrew from the portal, adding to a crowded running back room.
