Forward Kaden Pitre Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

North Bay Battalion forward Kaden Pitre has committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced on Instagram Saturday afternoon.

Pitre, a 20-year-old from Ontario, Canada, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round of the 2024 NHL Draft, 181st overall. However, the Lightning did not sign him ahead of the June 1 draft reentry deadline.

Before being traded to the Battalion this past November, Pitre spent three full seasons and a part of a fourth with the Flint Firebirds. During his time with Flint, Pitre totaled 101 points (44 goals, 57 assists) in 167 regular-season games, including a career-high 53-point campaign in 2024-25.

Pitre recorded seven points (five goals, two assists) in 12 games with Flint before being traded to North Bay. With the Battalion, Pitre put up 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) in 37 regular-season games.
