Penn State Men’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

Penn State men’s soccer announced the full 2026 schedule on social media Wednesday night. The 16-game slate features 10 home matches and six road matches
The season begins on August 20 against Mercyhurst in State College. The team then travels for its lone non-conference road bout with Missouri State on August 24 before returning home to host in-state rival Pittsburgh four days later.
The non-conference slate concludes with a pair of home matches against Bucknell and Yale on September 1 and 4 before the team opens Big Ten play a week later in Seattle against the reigning national champions, Washington.
The home Big Ten opener will be on September 18 against Michigan State.
After a pair of home matches against UCLA and Ohio State at the turn of the month, the team goes on a multi-week road trip to Ann Arbor and Evanston to square off with Michigan and Northwestern before returning home for a season-high three-game homestand.
After bouts with Rutgers and Wisconsin, the final home game will be on October 28 against Duquesne before the Nittany Lions conclude the regular season in College Park against Maryland on November 3.
This will be the final collegiate soccer season in the one-semester format, as the NCAA adopted legislation to expand men’s soccer to both semesters, adding a 10-match spring schedule starting in the 2027-28 academic year.
Penn State men’s soccer is coming off a 5-8-4 season with just a 1-6-3 record in Big Ten play, resulting in them missing the Big Ten Tournament in its final season under Jeff Cook.
The 2026 season will be the first for 2024 national champion head coach Rob Dow, who was hired away from Vermont in December.
