Former Four-Star Penn State Football Wide Receiver Commit Jamir Dean Flips To Georgia

Former Penn State football four-star wide receiver commit Jamir Dean has flipped to Georgia, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
He committed to Penn State on May 1.
The Alcoa, Tennessee, native is ranked the No. 5 player in the state, the No. 18 receiver in his class, and the No. 126 player in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. In Dean’s junior season at Alcoa High School, he tallied 590 receiving yards in 13 games played, exploding for 11 touchdowns. He recorded 34 receptions and averaged 17.4 yards per catch, per his MaxPreps profile.
In addition to football, Dean has a background in both basketball and track and field, in which he surpassed 1,000 career points on the court and qualified for states in numerous athletic events.
Dean originally chose the Nittany Lions after receiving offers from Arkansas, Purdue, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech. Almost instantly after he committed to Penn State, the Bulldogs came calling, and he went on an official visit.
Dean is the third flip in the past two weeks.
