Former St. Bonaventure Guard Dasonte Bowen Transfers To Penn State Hoops

Former St. Bonaventure guard Dasonte Bowen has transferred to Penn State basketball, per On3’s Joe Tipton. He is a redshirt senior.

Bowen spent the past two seasons with the Bonnies after transferring from Iowa in 2024. He has averaged seven points, 2.9 assists, two rebounds, and 0.8 steals in 94 college basketball games.

Bowen, who was listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds on the St. Bonaventure roster last season, will use his last season of eligibility with the Nittany Lions.

He averaged 10.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.2 steals in 34.3 minutes per game last season with St. Bonaventure, making 33 starts.

Coming out of high school, Bowen was the No. 2 player in Massachusetts, the No. 23 point guard nationally, and the No. 146 overall player in the class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Bowen will join six other guards on Penn State’s roster, including Jay Rodgers, Thomas Allard, and Robert Blums.
