Duck Donuts Permanently Closes After Over Eight Years In Business

The Duck Donuts at 125 S. Fraser St. has permanently closed its doors on Sunday, according to a Facebook post.

The shop has been in business since March, 2018 and reopened under new ownership in 2021. It served custom-made donuts with a diverse set of icings and toppings.

“We are incredibly grateful for the loyal guests, families, and community members who supported our shop. Thank you for your support, your visits, and your love for warm, delicious donuts,” the company announced in a Facebook post on Sunday. “Thank you for being a part of our story.”

Despite the chain having over 120 locations, the closest store to Penn State is now located in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

No reason for the closure has been announced at this time.
