Penn State Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule
Penn State women’s soccer announced its 2026 schedule on Monday. The Nittany Lions will play 17 games and host nine at Jeffrey Field in Erica Dambach’s 20th season as head coach.
Penn State will travel to Notre Dame to open the season on August 16 before hitting the road once more for a date with West Virginia on August 20. The Nittany Lions will start their home slate against Bucknell on August 27 and Brown on August 30, which will close out the Jeffrey Field Soccer Complex’s official opening weekend. Virginia Tech is set to visit on September 3 to close out non-conference play.
Dambach’s squad will open the biggest-ever Big Ten regular-season slate away from home against Ohio State on September 10. All Big Ten teams are set to play 12 games. Penn State returns to Happy Valley to face Minnesota on September 13 before taking a short ride to College Park, Maryland, to play the Terrapins on September 18.
The Nittany Lions will then operate a three-game home stand against Iowa, USC, and Purdue on September 24, 27, and October 3, respectively. Penn State will fly cross-country to face Oregon and Washington on October 8 and 11 before returning home against Rutgers on October 17.
Penn State’s final two regular-season road contests consist of the Michigan gauntlet. The Nittany Lions are set to face the Spartans on October 22 and the Wolverines on October 25. Indiana will travel to Happy Valley for the regular-season finale on October 30.
Penn State finished off another NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025, where it fell to No. 1-seeded Virginia 2-0 in the second round. The Nittany Lions have reached the tournament in each of the last 32 years and have finished in the second round or better in each of the last 17 seasons.
The biggest-ever Big Ten slate and matchups against three 2025 national quarterfinalists in Michigan State, Ohio State, and Washington, will prove a new and unique challenge for Dambach as the Nittany Lions search for their second star.
