More options for Badger fans.
United Airlines is adding direct flights between State College, Pennsylvania, and Madison, Wisconsin, the weekend of the Penn State-Wisconsin game, the airline announced in a news release.
Flights will run from Dane County Regional Airport to State College Regional Airport on Friday, September 25, ahead of Saturday, September 26, the day of the game.
The return flight will fly between the same airports on Sunday, September 27. Per Statecollege.com, flights started on Monday at $433 for economy, $668 for Economy Plus, and $728 for United First.
The State College to Madison flight is one of 14 United will add to accommodate college football fans throughout the season.
“As fans get ready to cheer on their favorite teams this fall, we’re adding flights across the country to college football’s biggest matchups,” Michael Weeks, United’s managing director of domestic schedule development, said in a statement. “From action-packed games to historic rivalries — these are the moments fans look forward to, and we’re thrilled to help them get there.”
The Penn State-Wisconsin game is one of the most anticipated on the Nittany Lions’ schedule this season as the new head coach will take on a new-look Badgers team in his first Big Ten game of the year.
