Penn State Berkey Creamery Set To Go Cashless Starting In August

The Berkey Creamery is saying goodbye to Benjamin Franklins.
Starting on August 1, the ice cream shop on Penn State’s campus will accept only cashless transactions. This change aligns with many other on-campus venues, which are already entirely cashless.
Customers will still be able to pay using any major credit cards, Apple Pay, or by check.
According to a statement from Penn State, The Creamery also will continue to accept campus meal plans, commuter meal plans, LionCash, Valutech gift cards, and prepaid cone and bowl certificates. Special tender and program group cards issued to conference participants, volunteers, and other groups also will be accepted.
The change only affects customers; The Creamery will continue to serve as a drop-off location for bank deposits from other Penn State offices.
