Penn State Athletics Adds Onvo As Official Convenience Store

Onvo has announced a deal with Penn State, making it the “Official Convenience Store” of Penn State athletics.

The Pennsylvania-based travel plaza and convenience store chain’s three-year deal, which expanded its partnership with the Nittany Lions, began on July 1.

The deal includes in-stadium visual elements, promotional ownership of Penn State field goals and extra points, game entitlement, and a parking pass sponsorship for football.

Onvo will also own game entitlement for the women’s volleyball Breast Cancer Game and sponsorship of Penn State wrestling’s BJC Dual at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The company will leverage NIL for Penn State student-athletes, including increased visibility on social channels.

“Our growing partnership with Onvo reflects the strength of the relationships we’ve built and our shared commitment to creating meaningful connections with Penn State fans,” Daniel Solomon, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at Penn State Sports Enterprises, said in a news release.

“Expanding our collaboration is a testament to the value and visibility we strive to deliver for our partners and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead. Onvo’s creative, energetic brand is a natural fit for our passionate fanbase and we’re looking forward to bringing fresh, engaging experiences to life together while continuing to grow this category.”

Onvo will run a promotion throughout the season that includes $0.20 off a gallon of gas after each Penn State Football win and on-site block parties at a few home games. The company will also remain the sole destination for Penn State fans to pick up gameday pins.

“Penn State athletics has been a great partner to us over the past two years, and we’re excited to expand our relationship with this new designation,” said Harman Aulakh, VP of Marketing at Onvo. “As a family-owned business that was founded here in Pennsylvania, expanding our partnership with Penn State is a great way to have some fun with a brand that deeply resonates with our guests and allows us to develop innovative promotions that will get more fans into our stores.”

The partnership announcement is the second in two days after PlayFly Sports named The GIANT Company as the “Official Grocery Partner of Penn State athletics on Tuesday.
