Defenseman Kohyn Eshkawkogan Commits To Penn State Hockey

2008-born defenseman Kohyn Eshkawkogan has committed to Penn State hockey, according to his Instagram.
Eshkawkogan had 45 assists and 53 points in 68 games played during the 2025-26 season for the Ottawa 67’s in the OHL. In his breakout campaign, he tied for second among all OHL defensemen in assists and was named to the OHL First All-Rookie Team.
He tied for eighth in points from defensemen.

The 17-year-old is expected to join the Nittany Lions for the 2027 season after becoming eligible for the NHL Draft. As one of the top prospects, Eshkawkogan is expected to go in the first or second round.
