Former Penn State Wrestler Bo Nickal Set To Face Olympic Champion In RAF Event

Former Penn State wrestler Bo Nickal is joining in on the Khamzat Chimaev vs. Tyron Woodley show.
The three-time NCAA champion and Dan Hodge Trophy winner will face Olympic Champion Shirvani Muradov at the RAF Moscow event on September 5.
Nickal, a rising UFC contender, returned to wrestling through the RAF in August against Jacob Cardenas.
The Nittany Lion’s second RAF battle, with Yoel Romero, fell through, but after signing to fight Muradov, Nickal has two confirmed fights in the next month, also taking on 2026 NCAA champion Max McEnelly at RAF 12 on August 22.
The Penn State wrestling legend won three consecutive NCAA championships while in Happy Valley, transitioning to MMA once out of eligibility.
He most recently fought Kyle Daukaus at UFC White House in a knockout victory that moved him to 6-1 in the UFC.
Nickal’s opponent, Muradov, won a gold medal representing Russia at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics in the men’s 96 kg freestyle wrestling category.
He’ll make his RAF debut when RAF Moscow airs live on Fox Nation in September.
