Jimmy John’s Returning To State College After Two Years

Jimmy John’s is returning to State College after two years away.

The national sandwich chain has signed a lease for a 1,475-square-foot space at 1718 S. Atherton St. in Creekside Plaza, according to Bennett Williams commercial real estate agent Kandy Weader.

The storefront, located next to HoneyBaked Ham, was most recently occupied by Subway before the restaurant closed earlier this year.

In a Facebook post announcing the lease, Weader said the high-traffic location continues to attract national retailers and expressed excitement about bringing another brand to the area.

An opening date for the new restaurant has not yet been announced.

The chain previously operated a downtown State College location at 434 E. College Ave., which closed in summer 2024. The space is now home to Mosul Grill.
