Three Penn State Football Players Make Annual Freaks List

If you want to win in college football, you better have some freaks.
Every year, Bruce Feldman compiles a list of college football’s biggest, strongest, and most mobile players to highlight those who have put in the work over the summer.
This season, Penn State had three players on the list: Linebacker Tony Rojas at No. 25, wide receiver Brett Eskildsen at No. 35, and cornerback Audavion Collins at No. 91.
Rojas was credited with his elite speed and explosiveness after clocking a 4.37 40 last offseason, along with a 10-5 broad jump and a 22.5 mph GPS speed.
He is coming off a season where he had 25 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and two sacks in four games, but missed most of the year with a season-ending torn ACL.
Eskildsen was listed at No. 35 for similar reasons.
“Matt Campbell brought some terrific players with him from Ames. Eskildsen, a 6-1, 205-pound wideout who caught 30 passes for 526 yards and five TDs last season, is one of them,” Feldman wrote.
“The former high school track star was one of the Big 12’s top big-play men in 2025, averaging 17.5 yards per reception (second-best in the Big 12). Eskildsen vertical jumped 40 inches this offseason to go with an 11-foot broad jump and a 325-pound bench press, and he also hit 23.1 mph on the GPS.”
At No. 91, cornerback Audavion Collins is another Nittany Lions speedster on the list.
According to Matt Campbell, Collins hit 23.5 mph on the GPS this offseason and recorded a 38-inch vertical jump and a 305-pound bench press.
Collins was one of the impact returners for the Nittany Lions this season, after starting all 13 games in 2025, totaling 47 tackles (33 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups.
“I don’t know what these guys are on the clock, but if they race, nobody’s faster than AC,” Terry Smith said. “He’s the ultimate competitor. He’s as fast as what’s running against him. AC has that different gear. It’s uniquely different.”
Former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula also made the list, except this time as a Virginia Cavalier.
