Penn State Hoops Announces 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

Penn State men’s basketball has announced its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season on Thursday, featuring trips to Philadelphia, Hershey, and the Bahamas, as well as eight home games.
The Nittany Lions will open their fourth season under head coach Mike Rhoades on Monday, November 2, against Canisius at the Bryce Jordan Center. Chattanooga follows that three days later on Thursday, November 5.
Penn State will then head to Philadelphia on Sunday, November 8, for the Keystone State matchup with Pitt at The Palestra.
The Nittany Lions will return home for three games, including Mercyhurst on November 12, New Haven on November 15, and Indiana University Indianapolis on November 18.
Thanksgiving week will take Penn State outside of the continental U.S. when they travel to Paradise Island, Bahamas, for the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The three-day tournament runs from November 25 to 27 at Imperial Arena and features Penn State, Marquette, Memphis, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Xavier.
Penn State will return to Happy Valley in December for another three-game homestand. Albany will play in the Bryce Jordan Center on December 1, followed by UT Martin on December 16, and Lafayette on December 19.
The Nittany Lions will close out their non-conference schedule with a trip to Hershey on Tuesday, December 22, to take on Saint Joseph’s at the GIANT Center.
Tip-off times and television broadcast information will be announced at a later date. The Big Ten schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
The 2026-27 season will mark Penn State’s fourth season under Rhoades, who will look to build on the program’s recent momentum with the non-conference slate that includes three neutral-site games and a trip to one of college basketball’s biggest early-season tournaments.
