Report: Penn State Football 2027 Commit Out Indefinitely With Lower-Body Injury

Penn State football Class of 2027 offensive line commit Jon Sassic is out indefinitely ahead of his senior season after suffering a lower-body injury, per On3’s Ryan Snyder.

Sassic was set to help lead a Pittsburgh Central Catholic’s offensive line that features three Power Four commits.

Sassic and his head coach, Ryan Lehmeier, did not offer much detail to Snyder regarding the injury, though they did say Sassic has begun rehabilitation.

The 6-foot-7, 280-pounder is the 60th-ranked interior lineman nationwide and No. 37 in Pennsylvania, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Sassic is one of the five offensive line commits in the Nittany Lions’ 2027 class, joining three stars, Oscar Webersink, Ryan Robbins, and Owen Reilly, and four-star David Tarawallie.

Penn State’s class is No. 20 in the country, according to 247Sports.
