Your Guide To The Fall 2026 Involvement Fair

Whether you are a new or returning student, the involvement fair can feel incredibly overwhelming. With large crowds and more than 1,000 clubs and organizations to explore, it can be hard to find what fits your interests. But don’t worry; there is truly something for everyone at Penn State!
The Involvement Fair will be held from Tuesday, September 1, to Wednesday, September 2. Going from noon to 5 p.m. on the Hub-Robeson Center Lawn.
To ease some of the nerves, we compiled a list of helpful tips to help you navigate your options!
Take Your Time
The Involvement Fair is huge, so make sure that you don’t rush through it. Take your time to stop and learn about different organizations.
Everyone working at the fair is there to get others involved in the clubs and organizations they love. With so much to see, it is important to take it all in because you never know what might pique your interest.
There will also be people at the fair to help you locate areas with groups you might want to join, so don’t feel like you have to know exactly where you want to go.
Do Research Before Attending
There are so many clubs and organizations on campus. Between all of the tables, signs, and the crowds, it can be hard to find what you like.
Remember to look up the list of clubs and organizations on campus and check out their socials! If you go into the fair with a list of clubs you are already interested in, you can spend your time talking to the representatives and figure out if they might be a good fit.
Ask Questions
It can be intimidating to walk up to a table and ask questions. However, talking to members of an organization can help you get a feel for what it’s actually like to be a member.
The club representatives want to answer questions; that’s why they are there! They will know all the important information and want to tell you more, so never be afraid to ask.
Go With A Friend
Trying something new can be scary, especially when you are doing it alone. Going to the Involvement Fair with a friend can make the experience feel a little less overwhelming. You will have someone to help you navigate the long rows of tables, signs, and posters, and you can encourage each other to step out of your comfort zones.
If you feel nervous about asking a question or finding an org, having a familiar face can be comforting. You do not have to have everything figured out right away; have fun exploring new interests and finding your place at Penn State!
Visit Your College-Specific Involvement Fair
Once you are done visiting the general Involvement Fair, you should try to go to your college-specific Involvement Fair. These are less overwhelming, and it can be easier to find something that fits your interests!
The Involvement Fair is a chance to meet new people who share similar interests to yours, so don’t be too stressed! You never know when you will find something new that you enjoy or meet new people.
