Brooklyn Bodega Officially Opens In Downtown State College

After a summer full of anticipation, Brooklyn Bodega officially opened in downtown State College last weekend. The new deli and grill brings a variety of breakfast foods, sandwiches, milkshakes, and more to the Penn State area.
Located on College Ave., Brooklyn Bodega offers new breakfast and lunch options for students, State College residents, and visitors.
Owner Hamzah Mozeb wanted to design the establishment with a modern and welcoming interior. While the restaurant is supposed to represent a traditional New York bodega, it will accommodate students or faculty who need a space to work.
“We’re bringing the real deal – authentic NYC bodega experience to Penn State’s backyard,” the restaurant’s website reads. “From classic deli sandwiches piled high with premium meats to sizzling grill favorites, we’re about to become your new go-to spot for serious eats.”
And although people may sit inside for a long time, the establishment will also accommodate those who wish to get their order quickly. Folks can order at the counter from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. every day of the week.
Brooklyn Bodega also offers an outdoor seating area.
“Hand-sliced premium meats, fresh cheeses, and all the fixings on authentic NY bread. Real bodega sandwiches made the Brooklyn way,” the website said.
